Peter Dempey back in America for First Race

Peter Dempsey travels back to America this Friday March 7th for his first race in the Star Mazda Championship at Sebring on Friday 14th March 2008.

Dempsey who has been setting the pace in all pre season testing needs to bring that form into the race weekend as hopes are high for a good result. The Motorsport Ireland Young Driver of the year runner up knows the pressure is on and he is expected to deliver.

“I am really looking forward to going back to America, I have had a long break but I have spent a lot of time in the gym as I know the 45 minute race will be difficult. I just hope I can perform as well as I have in testing. This is a great opportunity and I do not want to let it slip,” Peter said.

Dempsey has had a 5-week break since he last drove in testing but he has plenty of practice before the race so he expects to be OK .
